Having successfully won the contract for the launch of the 'All New Ford Mondeo' to its country-wide dealerships. TPS embarked on creating a Motor Show type environment within the Henry Ford College in Loughbourgh.
TPS was asked to create a "Wow Factor" for the visiting delegates. Working closely with the client TPS designed and created concept areas within the college and completely disguised the frontage of the building with a huge fifty metre by twelve metre banner The "Wow Factor" begins as one arrives.
Over a four-day period the installation team set about their task. Firstly a scaffolding rig was erected on the outside of the building to take the huge banner, whilst inside the concept areas where being created. The delegate would arrive at a purpose built reception desk and would then be led around the central core of the college. Over sixty graphic panels were produced and erected. In the showroom space, three defined areas were created.
A cocoon was created using Tri-Lite trusses and the suspension of forty-five metres of black drape. Inside bench seats were built to mimic the shape of the radio, a "Power Bar" in piano black and silver, and two large fans to mimic the cars air conditioning all contributed to show the attributes of the Mondeo's interior comfort.
Simplicity is the key. Two low curved walls surround the top range model, a large graphic wall stands at its rear. A Tri-Lite rig above holds the illumination that creates that Motor Show flair.
Two more models of the car are exhibited in this zone. Once again a graphic wall stands behind them. Also in this area are some stylish table games to set in the delegates mind that the car is fun to drive.
